Leggera

The Cassina Leggera chair, designed by the legendary Gio Ponti, stands as a true icon of mid-century design and Cassina’s mastery of woodworking. With its clean, refined lines and remarkable versatility, the Leggera adapts effortlessly to any setting, whether classic or contemporary. Available in both the standard version and one with armrests, this wooden chair epitomizes craftsmanship, drawing on the longstanding relationship between Ponti, Cesare Cassina, and the skilled artisans at Cassina, which began in the 1950s.
The chair’s design is a testament to the artisanal challenge of reducing the frame’s weight while maintaining its strength and stability, leading to the creation of the Superleggera, one of the lightest chairs in the world. The Leggera, with its essential yet elegant form, continues to be a contemporary favorite.
