Round porcelain catchall tray, hand-decorated with Lina Cavalieri’s face in black and white, a cigarette between her lips and a wisp of smoke curling across the portrait.
With its retro appeal, the design lets the smoke trace a sinuous line across the face, introducing unexpected movement to the portrait. A variation from the celebrated Tema e Variazioni series, conceived in 1952, to collect or give as a gift.
Made in the Fornasetti Atelier in Milan. Minor variations between similar pieces attest to the uniqueness of each creation.
