Round porcelain catchall tray, hand-decorated with Lina Cavalieri’s face in black and white, with a small fly resting on her nose.
An unexpected detail adds an ironic note to the portrait, turning it into a distinctive decorative object. A variation from the celebrated Tema e Variazioni series, conceived in 1952, to collect or give as a gift.
Made in the Fornasetti Atelier in Milan. Minor variations between similar pieces attest to the uniqueness of each creation.
