Round porcelain catchall tray, hand-decorated with a black-and-white depiction of an anatomical detail of the human body.
An irreverent take on the portrait, replacing Lina Cavalieri’s face with an unexpected anatomical subject. A visual play on irony and surrealism that reflects Fornasetti’s taste for surprising associations, within the celebrated Tema e Variazioni series, conceived in 1952.
Made in the Fornasetti Atelier in Milan. Minor variations between similar pieces attest to the uniqueness of each creation.
