The works of Crivellaro captivate with their evocative atmospheres, where even the air feels metaphysical and dreamlike. His art transports subjects into a realm of memory, melancholy, and a time that seems lost forever. Colors, lines, and shapes coalesce and vibrate, blurring the boundaries between the real and the unreal, achieving a balance both formal and emotional, yet touched by a gentle melancholy for the past. Memory emerges as the central theme, reflecting the inexorable passage of time that erodes reality. His paintings invite us to seize the moment, to savor even the smallest details of life. Crivellaro seeks traces of human existence in symbols, stripping away stylistic excesses and rejecting the distractions of contemporary society. His paintings often feature architectural forms—houses or cities—suspended between sky and earth, enveloped in opalescent colors that evoke memories and events fading into the slow, unstoppable flow of history. These are metaphoric images of humanity’s passage through time, valuable testimonies to what once was, even as the artist himself seems to have left them behind, perhaps forgotten. For Crivellaro, history appears to be the cornerstone of his artistic exploration.
