DESCRIPTION
‘Adoube begins with a warning whisper.
“I move,” he suggests, “and yet I stay the same. J’adoube. I adjust myself. I reposition, recalculate, reconsider.”
The fragrance takes the time to acquaint us with our own inhibitions, unafraid to explore our darkness, distracting us from the idea that we are fixed in a moment or place in time.
An intriguing sensation envelops us in an opening of pomegranate, red currant and tangerine, as the fragrance advances in a wave of irresistible sweetness.
This fragrance develops and expands into an intense experience, realizing the excitement found in the anticipation of new love, a raw and singular beginning. Its evolution to a bold, deep base of leather, patchouli, and ambrostar brings attention to the chaos, rooting the fragrance in a disciplined statement of intent while remaining completely spontaneous and free.
J’adoube represents this juxtaposition of abandon and control, moving seamlessly between notes in a fragrance that is as dramatic as it is engaging.
PROFUMIERE
Nathalie Benareau:“In the game of chess, players say ‘j’adoube’ if they want to adjust the position of a piece, but without moving it. I wanted to pay homage to the history of this term by incorporating pomegranate, a juicy and precise fruity note that adds an element of excitement. The dark leather accord gives the fragrance strength and a solid base, much like the tower’s role in the game.“
