Fazzoletto, meaning “handkerchief”, is one of the first designs created by Fulvio Bianconi for Venini and remains one of the most iconic expressions of Murano glass artistry. Its light and fluid form evokes the image of a handkerchief gently lifted by the wind, captured in a moment of graceful movement.
Created through the skilled gesture of a master glassmaker, the piece is shaped with a soft yet decisive motion that transforms molten glass into a sculptural form. The delicate rippling edges give the object a sense of lightness and spontaneity, turning a simple gesture into an act of art, poetry, and craftsmanship.
Celebrated worldwide for its originality and elegance, Fazzoletto has become a symbol of Italian glassmaking excellence and is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, confirming its place as a timeless design icon.
