Confini Avorio is a meditation on silence, tension, and presence.
Part of my Confini series, this piece was born during a period of deep inner stillness, a time when I was reflecting on the subtle ways we hold ourselves together, often invisibly. The stretched, knotted fabric represents the fragile architecture of restraint: how we contain emotion, how we hold back words, how we protect ourselves.
The choice of ivory wasn’t about neutrality, it was about purity. The absence of color here is not emptiness. It’s fullness. It’s the kind of quiet that speaks when everything else fades. Each knot on the surface holds a story, a pressure point, a decision not to break.
I created Confini Avorio not from a place of noise or urgency, but from a place of reverence, for the strength it takes to hold tension with grace.
I hope the viewer feels the pull and the peace, the hidden energy that lives just beneath the surface. Like a breath held in, or a truth waiting to be spoken.
