A beautiful expression of Italian rustic pottery, featuring a unique shape and vibrant splashes of color. This charming antique terracotta pot originates from Central Italy and dates back to the early 1900s. It features a beautifully squat, wide-mouthed silhouette characterized by unusual horizontal handles with circular, ring-like terminals. The piece is finished in a light grey, almost off-white base glaze, which is playfully decorated with striking, hand-applied splatters of deep cobalt blue and bright turquoise. This classic splatterware technique ensures each piece is entirely unique. Decades of authentic country use have left a wonderful, heavily textured patina, complete with natural glaze drips and historical chips that reveal the warm, raw terracotta beneath. With its perfect wabi-sabi character, this pot is an ideal decorative accent for a rustic kitchen, a Mediterranean-style patio, or as a character-filled planter for a low-lying botanical arrangement.
