A captivating piece of Orientalist design, featuring intricate geometric marquetry and a striking silhouette. This small console table is a beautiful example of the Oriental and Moorish revival styles popular in Europe during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The piece showcases a masterclass in geometric marquetry, with meticulously inlaid bands of contrasting woods adorning the apron and the squared legs. A striking visual contrast is provided by the sleek, ebonized wood top with its elegantly shaped corners, and the dark painted inner profiles of the legs. The stepped, architectural detail on the front apron adds a touch of exotic sophistication. Perfect as a hallway console, an accent table in a living room, or a distinctive desk for a small nook, it brings a rich, eclectic atmosphere to any interior.
