The Fontana Arte Bianca Floor Lamp designed by Matti Klenell is an exquisite example of high-end design, blending craftsmanship with timeless elegance. This floor lamp is part of the Bianca family of luminaires, which are renowned for their unique decorative surface. The diffuser is etched with a delicate series of grooves resembling footprints in fresh snow, creating a refined texture that enhances its minimalist appeal.
Each diffuser is meticulously mouth-blown, belt-sanded, and acid-dipped, a process that gives the glass its characteristic “silk effect.” Available in various sizes, the largest diffuser has a diameter of 50 cm, posing a significant challenge even to master glassmakers who use traditional Venetian fixed-mould blowing techniques. These artisans rely solely on their skill and lung capacity to shape the glass into its perfect form.
The lamp’s structure features a matt white finish that complements the white glass diffuser, harmonizing perfectly with modern interiors. Beyond its aesthetic value, the Fontana Arte Bianca Floor Lamp offers a warm, diffused light that envelops any space, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. This makes it ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, or any area that benefits from soft, ambient lighting.
